Bajaj Allianz Life has launched the second edition of their health initiative #PlankForIndia. The plank initiative aims to make #HealthGoals a part of everyone’s daily lives, as per a press release by the company.

In the second edition, for every plank the company will make a monetary contribution towards the training and development of India’s emerging sports stars and also encourage people to keep themselves fit to achieve their health goals. The donations will be directed towards Olympic Gold Quest, a programme of the Foundation for Promotion of Sports and Games, a not-for-profit company working with athletes.  

To give #PlankForIndia greater visibility, Bajaj Allianz Life released a video – https://youtu.be/M0OtjPYGdsM – across its social media channels.

The initiative was inaugurated by Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor on social media. He showed his support by doing the plank and shared a message which can be viewed here: https://www.instagram.com/p/B7HxVIkBrhs/?igshid=1aye7sdelbb9w.  

The initiative was first started on social media in September 2018 and culminated with Bajaj Allianz Life Plankathon on 25 November 2018. The Plankathon, with 2,353 participants holding the abdominal plank together for one minute, got Bajaj Allianz Life into the Guinness World Records.  

Supporters can take the #PlankForIndia initiative to contribute towards helping emerging sports stars by:

1. Getting into a plank posture

2. Taking a photo or a video of doing the plank

3. Posting the photo/video on Facebook/Instagram/Twitter/LinkedIn

4. Using the hashtag #PlankForIndia
