Bajaj Electricals in
association with ChildFund India has launched their flagship education programme
Mutthi
mai Aasma
Sky is the Limit. The programme is the third phase of their ongoing
initiative Reading Improvement – Books, My Friends.

To begin with, ChildFund India has set up over
100 solarised libraries in government schools across its implementation areas,
by working with its 60 community-based partners. To make reading material more
accessible to children, ChildFund has also introduced solar-powered mobile libraries,
beginning with the first one in Bengaluru.

ChildFund aspires to transform all the
government schools in off-grid areas into model schools by
introducing solar-powered water pumps, solar street lights, toilets, and
well-equipped libraries. The organisation
has successfully piloted the initiative in Udaipur, Rajasthan, and Jhabua,
Madhya Pradesh, with support from Bajaj Electricals.
