Club Mahindra has launched an annual initiative, Mission S.M.I.L.E.S. (Social Movement to Improve Life Experiences), under the Employee Social Options Program (ESOP). Employees of the company have pledged to cumulatively volunteer 5,000 hours every year towards CSR initiatives that will focus on education, health and environment.

This CSR strategy will be implemented across India. The work will be on the same lines and have continuity so as to maintain facilities created each year and increase coverage in areas that need support.

As part of the first activity in 2019, 180 employees and Club Mahindra members devoted a full working day to support the development of infrastructure at Shree Ganesh Vidya Mandir School in Dharavi. They participated in activities like wall painting, mural painting, beautifying the school premises, bench refurbishment, and making creative visual-learning charts.

While the spokesperson promised to get back to our questions on the details of the ESOP and the support given to schools as well as future plans, we ultimately never received their replies.
