Wockhardt Foundation’s drive

Wockhardt Foundation partnered with BSES MG Hospital of the Brahma Kumaris to organize a blood donation camp at Wockhardt Towers. A considerable number of units were collected from the staff as well as volunteer donors from the vicinity.

Dr Huzaifa Khorakiwala, trustee and CEO, Wockhardt Foundation, said, ‘According to a 2012 report by the World Health Organization, India faces a shortage of three million blood units per year. The unmet medical need in the country is high. With this initiative, we aim to promote the message of helping underprivileged people who cannot afford basic medical treatment.’
