A blood-donation exercise was organised last month by Punjab National Bank (PNB) across 200 blood-donation centres covering over 6,500 branches. Apparently, 15,000 units of blood were donated with a large number of local staff members voluntarily participating in this initiative.
The bank has been organising such camps for over 20 years now as part of its CSR. The camp was inaugurated at PNB Head Office in Dwarka by MD and CEO Sunil Mehta. This year’s programme marked the 124th-year milestone for the bank and was organised in partnership with Red Cross Society of India and AIPNBOA (All India Punjab National Bank Officers’ Association).
Other details pertaining to this event and PNB’s other healthcare initiatives went unanswered.
In the press release shared, Sunil Mehta reiterated that ‘PNB has woven CSR into its DNA and that the people of PNB always lead the way by example in their social obligations.’
